There hasn’t been too much news to report lately. The Peregrine falcon newcomers, Racer and Christina, appear to be staying in the area. It is encouraging to frequently see them on the Fifth/Third building, although there’s no indication that they have gone into the nest box. And yes, those disintegrating eggs are still there. We will schedule a fall clean up in late September and plan to tidy things up at that time. Fall migration is underway and many birds are in motion.  We will have to see if Racer and Christina stay or if any new birds arrive and challenge them to the territory.  We hope Peregrine falcons continue to live in downtown Kalamazoo and use the nest box so that we can watch their activity on the webcam.

We have not heard any reports about Rebecca or Kewpee and hope they are enjoying their retirement.  Please keep us informed if you see or hear about any Peregrine falcons in the area.
