05-19-2024 Getting curious

The two young Peregrines are showing an interest in the world outside of the nest box.  They are looking over the edge and grooming their emerging  feathers. And, as often happens, someone managed to poop on the camera.  The plan is to band them Tues morning (May 21).  However, today they ventured outside of the nest box, which they typically don’t do until after they have been banded.  Hopefully, we are not too late for the banding process and will hope they are in the box Tuesday morning when the DNR biologists arrive.
