05-08-2019 Three chicks this year in Kalamazoo

05-08-2019 Kewpee makes cameo appearance then Rebecca feeds chicks

Three of the four eggs hatched between April 30 and May 2.  The fourth egg is not going to hatch at this point.  It may be infertile, or the embryo may not have been viable.  This happened two years ago (2017).  Eventually the unhatched egg will deteriorate and collapse, and Rebecca will dispose of it.  The chicks are doing well.  There is a slight size difference between the older two and the youngest, but they are equal competitors for food.  Not that they need to compete because their parents are supplying them with more food than they can eat!
