04-15-2020 A chilly week

4/15/2020

The weather has changed from the balmy temperatures of a week ago.  There was snow on the ground this morning and it continued to snow lightly throughout the day and never got much above freezing.  Kewpee and Rebecca have been diligent in their incubation duties and it is rare to glimpse the eggs.  There was a tender switch between Kewpee leaving and Rebecca arriving this afternoon. They conversed and touched beaks, which is unusual.  Although maybe Kewpee was trying to tell Rebecca that she had a feather out of place on her forehead.  You can see the snow falling in the background of the video clip.

We are probably about a week from egg hatching, so stay tuned.
