03-21-2021 The First Egg

The Spring Equinox was officially March 20 and our first egg arrived around 5:30 today.    Kewpee arrived with dinner a little while later and Rebecca grabbed the food to go.  She flew over to the 5/3 sign near the nest box to eat while Kewpee babysat the egg.  By 8Pm she looked pretty tired, and you can see her standing guard in the nest box with her eyes closed.  Look for the videos from this date in the video archive.  If she follows the same pattern as previous years, there will probably be an egg laid every other day.  She has laid four eggs each year.
